The MST expresses its support for the candidacy of Fernando Haddad and Manuela D'Ávila for the presidency of the Republic.

We understand that in these elections two projects are in dispute. And we stand in favor of the project that defends the workers, democracy and a more just and sovereign country.

In our 34 years, we have always defended democracy, human and social rights. In this period we also learned in practice that the discourse of state violence always reaches the poorest. Therefore, our side has always been that of life, struggle, justice and democracy.

We support Haddad because we believe that the solution to the serious social, political, economic and institutional crisis in our country is in a popular project that guarantees employment and income generation without the withdrawal of rights.

We support Haddad because we fight for a decent life and for justice in the countryside. We support Haddad because we are fighting for the production of healthy food, which focuses on common goods and nature. We support Haddad because we are fighting for social policies that develop agro-industries and agroecology, the education of the countryside and the fight against all forms of discrimination, prejudice and inequality.

We reaffirm our commitment to continue fighting for the freedom of President Lula, denouncing the constitutional violations and manipulations of the Judiciary and bourgeois media that interfere with and violate the democratic life of the country.

In view of this, we called together the settled and camped families, the supporters of Agrarian Reform and also civil society to join in the battle to elect a popular and democratic project for Brazil.

It is important to engage everyone in the task of grassroots work and awareness in each space, in each neighborhood, in each municipality, in each WhatsApp group so that we can combat the disinformation, backwardness, authoritarianism and intolerance expressed in the other application. United we will fight so that fear and violence does not defeat us, nor subject our country to a project of withdrawal of rights and subordination to capital and international interests.

Brazilians will defeat fear, intolerance and violence.

Free Lula!

Struggle, Build People’s Agrarian Reform!
