On the Day of the Vote Against Temer, the Brazilian Popular Front Organizes Rallies Throughout Brazil

Actions will be sustained in the main capitals of Brazil on August 2, date in which the Chamber of  Deputies will be voting on the accusations of corruption (see article below) against the putschist president Michel Temer, the purpose is to demand “Direct Elections Now!” and to push the parliamentarians not to support the president.

The Brazil Popular Front calls for “direct elections now” and an emergency program after Temer is removed from office

The Brazil Popular Front presented its proposals to re-establish democratic Constitutional order in Brazil, defend national sovereignty, deal with the economic crisis, revert the destruction of the state and protect the rights of the working class.

150,000 People filled the enormous Copacabana beach in an historical act demanding “Direct Elections Now!”

150,000 people participated this Sunday (May 28, 2017) in a historical act for direct elections, at the Copacabana beach. The protest was convened by artists and organized by the Brazil Popular Front and People Without Fear, initiatives that gather hundreds of popular movements, union centrals and leftist parties. The demonstration began at 11am and the beach remained full until 7pm.

In a manifesto, MST denounces criminalization and violence in the countryside

It was raining in São Paulo when young people from the MST and the Popular Rising of Youth, in chorus, repeated several times: "it is a time of war, it is a time without sun," taking the front of the main stage of the National Fair of Agrarian Reform. The intervention served to launch a manifesto against the criminalization of social movements and against violence in the countryside, which was beautiful by the singer Tico Santa Cruz on the night of Friday, May 5, 2017.
